Yes, reflexivity is broadly thinking about the self, which in this case includes extrapolating from past and present patterns to contemplate future needs. I am basically just invoking stronger self-awareness about how I deploy excitement; people don't see it from me often enough for them to recognize it when it arises, therefore I must contemplate whether to slow it down in the moment or forewarn others in metacommunication.
