...are not fun. I don't know if what I have meet any sort of clinical definition, just that they are thoughts that intrude upon other thoughts. Mindfulness exercises don't help as much as they used to but I'm doing what I can.

This morning, I had too many things scheduled; about half fell through but I couldn't get back to sleep (despite getting to bed late and having a long to-do list today). I'll do what I can and rest tonight. But I had to get up because laying in bed was only making the thoughts spin, whereas out of bed I can try outside stimuli.

Speaking of which, it's breakfast time.

Lots of mindfulness exercises make intrusive thoughts louder. They make you more mindful of the places your brain is going instead of quieting the part of your brain that catastrophizes and says wack shit. I only start getting intrusive thoughts when I’m getting into the crunchy bit of depression, so please plan a mental health day soon, if you have not already?
